Day 36: 02 October, Wednesday

Its a Wednesday and it means GSM at 9am and NGO at 3pm.

Because I only have one class in the morning I didn't care about what to wear so this is my ootd. :D Slippers and shorts; so Singaporean.

#ootd
Back to dorm after class and used the computer in the PC room and then went up to my room and nua. I ate chicken and we're gonna be busy for tonight~~~

Super yummy chicken
Original Plan:
1) Meet Adrial's classmate Monica and her 3 friends for drinking at 7pm.
2) Meet Sean's buddy Tom for dinner at 7pm.
3) Meet Adrial's buddy Sunwang & friend for drinking at 8pm.
4) Meet Cheryl's friend for drinking at 9pm.
5) Meet Tai, Surya, Rocky, Zion, Mac and clique for drinking at 9pm at LGC tent.
6) Meet Yixin's buddy Boeun at her department's tent for drinking at 9.30pm.

See how busy we are for tonight? :P But sadly we can't go for all the appointments.

Nua until dinner time and until Cheryl, Yvonne and Adrial are done with gym, we had a quick dinner and went to meet Adrial's buddy at LGC first because he'd be late (change of plans for the whole night). We waited for Sean and Tom too while meeting Adrial's buddy and then we proceeded to the festival together!

According to Adrial's buddy, Day 1 of the festival was kpop night, where all the kpop groups and singer came to perform. Day 2 was talent night, where school students would take part in the contest and perform. Whereas for Day 3, its Clubbing night!! They had an external dj in the house too!

Our lightstick bracelets

We attended the concert event at the central stage for clubbing night. It was a night of clubbing and music and dance and alcohol and more! My virgin experience in clubbing hehe. The temperature is 11 degrees at night and the guys who were dancing splashed water at everyone and took off their own shirt so I was wondering whether they were feeling cold...

Professor Philip Rose's dog.

Look at the amount of beer and soju...
Wore my black dress and heels but we still danced a little. At 9.30pm we went to find Tai but only found the 3 others. Apparently Tai had gone missing haha. And Rocky bought us Soju! One shot for each!

So we headed to Boeun's department tent first because she invited us over. She gave us lots of food as promised for only KRW$14,000! 2 plates of sausage, 2 plates of omelette, 1 bowl of spicy soup ramyun, 1 plate of spicy chicken ramyun, 1 bowl of seaweed soup, beers and sojus! She was so nice to us. :D

Cheryl happened to find out that Surya, Zion, Mac and Rocky were chilling beside our tent, so me and her went over first while the rest continued eating at Boeun's tent. These guys are the most awesome people I've met so far!

It has been long since I was able to stay out late outside (or maybe it was my first :P) so it was pretty fun to be able to spend time with friends.

Koreans are very polite people. They respect their status very much, so there were rules that we had to keep in mind.

1) Speak formally to your seniors (anyone at least one year older than you).
2) When drinking, the younger ones must pour alcohol for the seniors. With two hands. One holding the bottle and the other supporting your other hand. If you get what I mean.
3) When drinking, the younger ones gotta turn in the opposite direction of the seniors and drink. (ie not facing the seniors)

So, the moment I sat down,  Mac (same age) gave me a glass of beer and we drank the first round. The moment we finished, I took the bottle and poured the beer for all the guys. It was obvious that this was the norm, because when they saw me pouring they don't give any reaction, like its what I'm supposed to do. Kinda a new experience. It would be cool if Singapore has this hierarchy too. :P

So I poured beer for Rocky (27yo), Mac (20yo), Zion (20yo) and Surya (21yo) and we drank! Fun time hanging out with them. :)

So once we were done we walked back to the other tent but couldn't find the rest. So Cheryl and I followed the guys to Pommes Frittes for second round of drinking. (fyi, koreans can drink up to five round in five different places in one night)

We got wifi at Pommes Frittes so Cheryl asked the rest to come over and they said okay. We ordered draft beer and fries and chatted. Mac showed us magic tricks too! He's so good at it.

Some photos at Pommes Frittes :D

That's Mac & Surya!

Mac & Zion
Dmitry, one of our Russian friend, joined us at Pommes Frittes for drinking too, but he was obviously not sober. We left the place at about 1.30am, and Mac & Surya decided to join us!

The jimjilbang place. Sorry its blur :/
A grand looking motel. Hahaha
"Cos you're foreigners you can do shit." #yolo
We walked to the jimjillbang because it wasn't far, just beside the bus terminal. It was sooooo chilly that night, I really was freezing. And I wasn't the only one! Even Surya was shivering too. We got inside the jimjilbang and it was so warm. Ahhhhh~

The name of the jimjilbang is Magic 24 if I'm not wrong. So we each got our bracelets w/ a key. We were brought to this room of small lockers so we opened our respective lockers and put our stuff in, only to realise that it was for shoes. Hahaha.

Idk since when was I 54kg... Maybe I gained weight in Korea...
The next locker is the one for our stuff. It was inside the jimjilbang already, and we basically had to take off everything before we can enter the hot bath. And guess what? We took almost 30 minutes before we're done cos we were too hesitant about removing all our clothes. Hahaha. The guys took only 2 minutes. :P

Just before we enter!!
So after sometime we are finally ready we went into the bath (Yixin didn't go). First we soaked ourselves in the 34 degrees pool for 10 minutes, then to the 39.1 degrees pool and to the 40 degrees pool. We sat in the Jacuzzi pool a while too. By 3am we were out and changed into our sleepwear already.

We went up to the common sleeping area and met the guys. Everyone was asleep so we talked really softly. Yixin sprained her ankle yesterday during the festival so Meihwa accompanied her while we went out to play trampoline! Mastered a new trick that Adrial showed us and I feel so accomplished!

Playing on the trampoline xD

After a while we went back in, sit, chat, laugh but I soon fell asleep (because of my alcohol consumption). When I woke up it was already 6am plus and Cheryl, Yvonne, Mac and Surya didn't sleep. The moment I woke up Surya took the boiled egg and cracked it on my head. It hurts!!

We soon woke the others up and met at 8am outside the jimjilbang. Yixin's ankle condition was pretty serious so we wanted to take her to see a doctor, but today was a public holiday! Idk what's it English name because apparently no one is able to say the english name of this public holiday. So we ended up bringing her to the hospital. Meihwa, Surya and I accompanied Yixin to the nearest hospital by taxi while the rest went back first.

Her condition isn't too serious I suppose. Its a micro-fracture. Idk whats that. O.o

Anyway she gotta go back to the hospital again tomorrow. Because she had a cast on her leg so she cannot wear her jeans so Surya made me change my outfit with her (cos I was wearing a dress). Idk to laugh or what.

So we took a taxi back to our area and had Omelette Kimbap for brunch. It was so good I'm so gonna go back again!

계란말이김밥 (omellette kimbap). Kimbap is korean sushi
We headed back after we were done and it was already 10.30am. We washed up and went to sleep straight ahead. We were all dead beat.

I'm writing this at 5.45pm KST, 3rd October because I just woke up at 4.30pm. The rest are still sleeping. Body clock is screwed up now and I have morning classes tomorrow. Ohmygod.

It was a tiring, fun and eventful day.
