Day 55: 21 October, Monday

Its Week 8 already!

This is mid terms week, so it means I'm halfway done with my studies! Next week is mid term week too. But we're going Seoul this weekend. Hahaha.

Before I talk about today, I just wanna talk about yesterday night! I heard one good news from one of our friends, but I can't say what is it. Its a good news anyway! Wish her all the best!

And... Surya Kakao-ed me yesterday night some tips to survive in Korea. He told me I could blog about it so here I'm doing it!

1. Try to learn basic Korean language.
2. Don't be afraid to go out; people will help you.
3. In Korea, 니가 means "you're", so don't confuse it.
4. Korean age is different from international age.
5. Koreans don't make eye contact.
6. Be aware of the heavy drinking culture! (I have experienced this personally xD)
7. Drinking on the streets is legal.
8. Try out the public bath houses! (I tried!)
9. Watch Korean dramas to see how people interact with each other.
10. Never use your left hand when passing things to someone.

Thanks Surya for the tips haha! :P

And one last thing! Heard good news from my senior yesterday night and its a really great news! Received two "presents" from him too and I'm super grateful to have him. :) He's so nice, not forgetting me. Hehe :P Anticipating more presents from him soon!

Facetime-d Miaoqi yesterday night too! Miss this girl so much!! ^^ Getting cuter and cuter~ Love talks with her and the other girls. I miss Wangwei, Xiuyi, Alexis too! And of course my girls in class, Munirah & Yani~ Miss my family, my friends (Emily, Shayne, Joanna), my Pastamania clique (Ama, JD & Chris), and of course my CO friends!! 너무 너무 보고싶어어어!! ㅠㅠ

Okay enough of "missing people". Haha. Just can't wait to get back to see all you again.

Yixin wanted to wear her newly bought boots so badly so Yvonne asked all of us to dress up together! Photos taken in the morning with Yixin and Meihwa.

Sorry for being awkwardly tall. :/

9am GSM class. We had our lesson in the computer lab, doing review and revision for mid terms on Wednesday. Professor Ken Morrison used Google Drive for us to work on the mid term review sheet he prepared for us, so we just basically had to fill in the blanks and answer the question. What amazed me was that the entire class was actually working on the same document! Therefore you could see who is typing what and where's their cursor!

Check out my Instavideo on this!

So we went for OB at 10.30am. We had to do a role play demonstrating a theory of behaviour assigned to us. Professor said whichever group that could make the entire class laugh would score more points. Some of these theory may sound familiar to you. McGregor's Theory X & Y, Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, Reinforcement vs Punishment, Equity Theory and more. We got a fairly easy one: Theory Y. Theory Y managers assumes that employees are responsible, enthusiastic and eager to take on challenges, whereas Theory X managers are just the opposite. Adrial, Yixin, Meihwa and I were in a team, so Adrial had this really crazy idea of imitating Professor Philip Rose!

Its really difficult to describe his way of talking but its really damn unique. He loves saying "Sooo...!" at the beginning of his sentence (his accent and tone is the main point xD) and he loves saying the words halfway. Like "organi......zation." Hahaha.

So... Yixin was acting as the Theory X student while Meihwa and I are the Theory Y students. Adrial came in and "started taking attendance". He called our names just the way Professor called us. Meihwa as "Mi Hwa", Wong Yixin as "Wong Shi Xin". But the class still didn't quite get the joke. The moment Adrial said the first word, "So...!", the entire class just burst out laughing!!

After everyone was done with the role play, Professor said, "everyone has done a great job except for Adrial." Hahaha! And he continued, "So...!" Then everyone laughed again. xD Professor said Adrial will lose one mark every time he says "So...!". Hahaha. It was a fun lesson.

Supposed to be NGO at 12pm but Professor said it was optional to attend because this is mid term weeks so by right there aren't any classes. So we didn't go for NGO but went to meet Seungju for lunch instead!

We went to this nearby restaurant and some of them ordered 고불 (gobul) which is basically meat and beansprouts. I ordered 치즈 새우 돌솥 비빔밥 (Cheese Prawn Hotstone Bibimbap). It tastes very unique because it doesn't have the usual hot spicy sauce!

고불 (gobul)
알 참치 비빔밥 (Fish Roe Tuna Bibimbap)
치즈 김치 돌섵 비빔밥 (Cheese Kimchi Hotstone Bibimbap)
김치 지깨 (Kimchi Stew)

After lunch Meihwa and I went back to the dorm while the rest head to school for lessons.
