Its a Saturday and we are going to attend the "Daejeon 2013 Food & Wine Festival"!
It is an annual event held at the Expo Science Park (just beside the Daejeon Convention Centre). Visitors just have to pay KRW$3,000 to purchase a wine glass and you can get access to over 200 kinds of wine from all over the world! That includes Germany, Italy, Spain, Korean, Berlin and many more!

Anyway, the sky was a phenomenon today because its so amazing to be able to see the distinct separation of the white clouds and blue skies.
So the eight of us met up with the Moroccan girls (Safaa & Kaoutar) and one korean friend Ji Eun and took a bus there together at 12pm! We arrived at approximately 1pm, purchased our glasses, got our entrance tickets and entered the expo hall!

The inside feels just like Singapore's Expo Hall or maybe those in Suntec City. We tasted a few wine before getting some food because we were hungry. Taiquan and the girls continued tasting wine though.

The food is pretty good but slightly more expensive as compared to outside. We ordered quite a lot and met Dmitry and his girlfriend Azaria just before we finished. We saw Professor Philip Rose too!

Then there is the "food" part of the festival. But all the food were for display only.

So we went back in to taste wine after lunch and then we realised that there were sooo many people inside the hall that the security guards at the entrance are asking people to queue up so they can enter. We were not gonna queue up of course, so we went in through the back door. Almost couldn't get in cos the security caught us but because I spammed him with unclear Korean words he bobian so he let us in haha.
We wanted to enter into this zone where the wines were self-help where you could just pour any wine you wish to try. However, due to the large number of people in the zone, we gotta queue up to enter. But then again... who's queuing? Haha. So we slipped in individually and met inside. Daebak.

Amazed at how this wine glass washer can actually remove stains and smells
with just water in less than 5 seconds. |
So we met a lot of friends inside! There are like 70% Caucasians and only 30% Koreans so we spoke to alot of them! Most of them are professors in Korea though (and it feels like we are the only student inside man). I remember just a few names though, Peter, James, Michael? Haha.

We were inside until almost 6pm and Meihwa, Yixin and Cheryl went back first while the rest of us went for dinner. We were supposed to watch some musical performance at 7pm or visit some art place but it got cancelled so Adrial, Taiquan, Sean, Yvonne, Ji Eun and I just went ahead for dinner at this restaurant called "Eat Me Pizzeria" in Dunsan-dong. Dinner was good and ambience was good too!

So we went back after dinner and we took a taxi back. It was almost 10pm when we reached and I realised Cheryl actually went on a "date" with Surya at Rodem. After which when she was back, Surya asked her out to Pomme Frites again! So she went ahead because Tai was also at Pommes Frittes (I saw him on the way back).
At about 10.30pm Surya Kakao Talked me asking me to join them. After some discussions I went ahead so we chatted a little at Pommes Frittes and it was already 11pm so the guys were like psycho-ing us to go back at 12am instead. And guess where we went? Noraebang!

Haha we went in for just an hour but it was fun hanging out with these guys!
Went back to our dorm at 12am and bathed and slept. Tomorrow is gonna be a tiring day again!
