Day 94: 29 November, Friday

Temperature: -1/7 degrees
Weather: Sunny

End of Week 13!!

Its a happy day because I am a free person to do anything I want with no burden today~~

OM at 9am. Final presentation done by Singapore students. We were tasked to do a 3-page report and a 20-min presentation on any business/company in Singapore that has an operation problem and give recommendations. We did on SMRT and I guess it was a good choice. Professor William Hickey was satisfied.

And then IBN at 10.30am. We had another negotiation role play. We were all given respective "country" roles in a group of three to portray how behaviour of different country's representatives vary. I was representing Japan, negotiating with Latin & North America representatives. The book says Japanese usually negotiate with everyone's benefits in mind. As long as the group is okay I am okay. That's their mentality. Whereas North Americans are more self-centered. Latin Americans would prefer to satisfy both themselves and everyone else. Anyway it was kinda fun.

When class ended we went back to the dorm. I was quite tired in class actually but when I got back I didn't feel tired anymore so I went to watched drama again. Hahaha. Still so in love with the cast of <The Heirs>. When I told Tom & Dongmin that I loved that drama they both said its just a visual drama. Hahaha true that.

I initially watched for Lee Min Ho because he's so charismatic especially after I watch him in City Hunter. But up to now I have three friends telling me they prefer Kim Woo Bin over Lee Min Ho. I argued with them that his eyebrows are kinda weird but they all told me the same thing: "우빈의매력" (Woobin's charisma). And I gotta admit, after watching Episode 16 today he indeed looks very charismatic too! And I salute his acting.

So today is a boring day. Watch drama until about 5pm went up to the room to find Yixin and Cheryl sleeping so I went on bed to nua also. Nua until fell asleep. The three of us woke up at 8pm and had pizza for dinner!

Some photos that I filtered from the past days~ And my #ootd :D

Day 93: 28 November, Thursday

Temperature: -5/2 degrees
Weather: Fine

Woke up to a white Daejeon! It must have snowed the entire night because everywhere is covered with snow!

Thick snow~

We were all kinda excited about it but then the problem came. There's this slope outside our dorm that leads us to our school. And because it snowed the entire night the road is coated with snow and the snow melted into water and then it froze so there's a thin layer of ice covered on the road. So its damn slippery. And I mean damn. Like every two steps you take you'll slip once. Because we're in Converse and flats. So instead of the usual 10mins we need to go school, we spent 20mins trying to make it to school. Cheryl was saying "We're not gonna make it~~" and everyone else was like "woah" and "ah" because we're slipping too much. Wonder why the Koreans don't have this problem. We looked like some idiots who can't even walk. Lol.

OB at 9am. Guess what we did after class? Go back and sleep. Lol.

Woke up at 12noon to do my nails and watch "The Heirs" because we're meeting Tom for lunch at 1pm at Linton Park!

Most colourful autumn leaves. #nofilter
Prettiest autumn leaves. #filter
Meihwa, Sean, Taiquan and I met Tom for lunch and shorty after Tom's friend, Dongmin joined us too! We were going ice skating after lunch!

Cheese Tonkatsu
Everyone was supposed to go but Adrial wasn't feeling well so we asked him not to go since he was gymming with Cheryl and Yvonne as well. Yixin stayed to do her report.

View from bus ride

Chanced upon Kim Woo Bin otw! So happy because he's handsome & I'm watching "The Heirs" now!
Finally reached the ice skating place!
Ice skating is KRW$6,000 per person with unlimited time! Its only my second time skating (first was in J Cube or JEM I forgot) so I think I damn burden cos they all can skate pretty well! But we had fun still. I fell once on my butt and it hurt so much. We skated till 4.30pm and then left.

so little people!

Super wet compared to Singapore.
Our skates
The kids are so good please
w/ Dongmin oppa :P
Chungkyu (Tom) & Dongmin oppa~
I went to meet the Chanel and Xiangfei from Chungnam University who were also on OSEP in Daejeon, South Korea too! We were all in the same state of Korea but haven't met until now! Thank you for coming over although its quite far for you guys (about 45mins bus ride). We went to have dakkalbi for dinner, and cabbed down to Terminal to watch Hunger Games! The five of us (Chanel, Xiangfei, Meihwa, Sean and I) caught the 20:05 slot at the terminal and we rushed back after the movie ended cos we have curfew but they don't have! Jealous much!!

CGV @ Terminal
During dinner we talked quite a lot and shared our experiences in school. So glad to have finally met them although its nearing the end of OSEP :( gonna go over to their side perhaps someday next week! See you girls soon :D

And some photos we took at the Goat Cafe/Cafe Ssome while waiting for the girls~

Cafe Ssome buzzer
So that was how I spent my night. Meihwa, Sean and I cabbed back and I showered and joined the others in working on our OM presentation and report due tomorrow. Settled everything at 1am and we all went to sleep because it has been a long day. Hope everything goes well tomorrow!

Day 92: 27 November, Wednesday

Temperature: -4/4 degrees
Weather: Rainy/Snowy

9am GSM. The moment Professor entered the class he wanted us to do an activity. He asked us to take out a piece of paper and write down the names of ten people that comes to our mind. It may be people whom we know personally or not. My family came first three and then friends and more. Then he made us do a mindmap with "Me" in the centre and asked us to categorize the people on our list. I had "schoolmates", "close friends" and "family". Then he asked us to link all the people whom are Facebook friends with us. And it dawned on me that everyone co-existed in the same world; the virtual world. A professor from University of Michigan proved that it takes about 4.7 hops between two random strangers on Facebook, which means to say there are about 5 connections between 2 people. (example, my sisters' friend's cousin's mother's friend may be my teacher) The virtual world has become so small that it takes just 4.7 hops to find someone. It kinda got me thinking the entire class. Love this module a lot (Globalization & Social Media) because it makes us stop and think in this fast-paced society whether the development in technology and globalization is affecting us positively or negatively. Like one of the articles we were asked to read, "Is Google making us stupid?" really made me think. I have never used my brain so much in my life lol.

Anyway it was snowing pretty heavily after GSM ended! Adrial and I had fun playing with the snow like small kids hahaha. And we saw Meihwa and Yixin outside dorm! See my Instavideo of the snow!

Okay so I went back and continued watching my K Drama! Still in love with the cast <3 Lee Min Ho, Kim Woo Bin, Choi Jin Hyuk! Until I analysed the story plot to my sister then I realised it was totally similar to Boys Over Flowers lol. The story is basically about a bunch of rich guys studying in a renowned school and then the rich guys are constantly bullying people until this one normal, average, not rich girl enters the school because of some useless reason and then all these rich guys start falling in love with her. Plot is stupid like I said, but I'm just contented seeing the guys. <3

I was multi-tasking: doing MICE too! See how I multi-task hahaha.

Look carefully for a fifth window... Google Chrome.
NGO at 3pm So god damn thankful that I didn't fail my paper 3 - analysis (professor said one student got F). I got 94!! So damn thankful. And professor gave us good news that we don't need to submit our final paper! But in exchange we need to do a PowerPoint presentation. That's nothing to us hahaha! NYP SBM students leh. Haha. What is presentation?! Haha we prefer that to a 3-5 page report, honestly speaking. After all, Singaporeans are one of the lowest UAI scores! We can act spontaneously so well to all kinds of situations! Haha :P

Okay so class ended and it was snowing again! So we played snow fight again hahaha :P See my Instavideo!!

Then we went to the newly opened cafe Droptop! Had Gelato Waffle and Tiramisu cake. Not bad. Quite atas. Haha :D

Candid shot of Yvonne!
Then we went back and then do our stuff. Reports and presentations... The final lap! Countdown 16 more days to end of fall semester!

On a side note... Received a parcel out of the blue this afternoon. Was surprised because I didn't expect that. It was a birthday gift from Emily and Shayne! To be honest this is one of the best birthday presents I've ever received (seriously) and I'm grateful that you two put so much effort in the sketchbook! And yes you two were right; I cried, I smiled while reading the sketchbook that's filled with memories of us all this while. Knowing Emily for almost 7 years and Shayne for almost 13 years, I'm more than thankful to have them. Appreciate your effort of sending my gift all the way form Singapore to Korea. Really love the nail arts stuff and the book and the masks. Can't wait to get back and see you guys soon. Love you two, Emily and Shayne. <3 thanks.

I didn't even realise my birthday was so near the corner. I mean I knew it was coming, but in actually fact I'm busy counting down to the end of November, but I didn't realise the end of November meant my birthday. 4 more days; I can't wait to turn 19 in Korea. :D
