Day 33: 29 September, Sunday

We woke up early once again and wanted to cook breakfast but there were people using the kitchen and there was no eggs and the bread expired so breakfast is cancelled. :( We had MacDonalds instead.

Morning streets of Busan
Korean Mac
Mac Deluxe
The sad thing about Mac breakfast in Korea is that they don't have salt and pepper for our scrambled egg. When Cheryl asked for salt the person's face went blank and she just poured some salt from the salt shaker at the fries into the cover of the cup corn.

So after breakfast we went to Busan Tower as mentioned. But end up only Taiquan and Sean went up to the tower (entrance fee of KRW$4,000) while the rest of us waited at the bottom where all the heart locks are. They have one in Seoul (Namsam Tower) and one in Busan too.

Lovers' Lock Bridge

My view when I lie down.
I believe those who watch kdramas should know the meaning behind these locks. When a couple writes their wishes down here and lock it up, make a wish and throw the key away, your wish will come true. I wrote my wishes down and threw my key too. May my wish come true.

So we went back to the guesthouse to check out and took Polaroids with the owner cos he was so nice!
The owner is tall and not bad looking! :P
Trying to take picture with the teddy!
Group shot!
So we took the subway back to Busan station after a little more shopping (we just bought some cute socks that's all) to catch our train at 3.15pm.

The fountain that Cheryl and Adrial ran past!

Reached Daejeon at about 8.45pm and took bus 314 back to our dorm, settled down and had dinner.

It was a wonderful Busan trip and I would love to go again if not for the 3.5 hour train ride actually... :) Back to reality now... School starts tomorrow because its Monday. Have a great week ahead!

Day 32: 28 September, Saturday

A day for fun in Busan!!

We woke up early because ewe had many plans for today. Yixin woke up early to cook breakfast for us! She cooked French Toast and it was super yummy! Meihwa cooked her sunny side up. Love NOL Guesthouse so much because it feels like home (because of the kitchen xD).

Sunny Side Ups!
French Toast
Watching Pororo :P
We set off at 9am to head for the metro station because we were meeting Cheryl and Yvonne's Singapore friend studying in Busan through OSEP at 9.30am. We met her friend, Emma, at the metro station and proceeded to take a bus to our destination: Kamcheon Cultural Village!

If you are a Running Man fan you night know this place. Its the episode filmed in Busan (ep 126) with Choi Ji Woo as guest. The very colourful cultural village was such a nice sight and on top of that, the weather was perfect too!

We spent a few hours in the village walking up and down and taking photos. I must say the people of Busan are really nice! Especially the elderly who see us walking around because they always greet us!

Anyway, time for photos of the village!

Stairs...

The sun was getting hot in the afternoon so we decided to have lunch! We took a bus down the village and alighted at Jagalchi market! Seafood for lunch! It's like our first seafood meal in Korea because Daejeon doesn't have good/much seafood.

Live Octopus
Sashimi
Spicy Crab Stew

Seafood!
So after lunch we met two other friends of Cheryl and Yvonne, Kelly and Joy. We went around to shop a little around the downtown of Busan and specially went to SPAO!

SPAO is a fashion store that had kpop idols as brand ambassadors like Super Junior and f(x). So I took photos and bought clothes hehe.

Super love Yesung here.

We went to get Gongcha before meeting the guys! So jealous that they have it in Busan but not in Daejeon.

Winter Nelon Milk Tea w/ white pearl
Saw Beast a few times too. ^^

Oh and we went to H&M!

Some egg shaped facial wash from Holika that I thought was cute. KRW$4,000 for one.

We then took the metro to Haeundae Beach!

The story behind the above picture: we were in the metro and this group of middle-aged guys in suits asked where were we from. When we said Singapore, they got a little excited and told us they know Lee Kuan Yew. One of them said, "Korean people respect him." At this moment, I feel so proud to be a Singaporean.

And sooo... we arrived at Haeundae!!

Some performance going on at the beach.

We walked around and took off our shoes so we could have a feel of the sea. The water was cold but the weather was okay. Took many photos before we went to a cafe nearby to "kop" wifi haha.

Mango Six Cafe
Artistes Signature
And more!
Plain Waffle w/ Fresh Cream & Caramel
Drizzle; just the way I like it.
So our next destination is another beach in Busan: Gwangalli Beach. We took the metro there as usual, and it was already dark by the time we reached there.

They can sell things here on subways in Korea!

We bought firecrackers to play since such things are banned in Singapore. It was 3 for KRW$10,000! Managed to get nice shots of the mini fireworks.

And watch the video too!

So we went to have dinner afterwards! We just settled in some random restaurant and my naengmyun tastes super disappointing.

We finished dinner at about 8pm so we decided to rush back to our guesthouse area to go to Busan Tower! Took the subway back and spent some time finding our way to the Yongdusan Park. We finally reached the park at about 9.10pm, and the Tower closes at 10pm, so we decided to come back again the next morning.

Steps from the metro station...
Fyi, there are no escalators in their subway stations. :(

Escalator up to Yongdusan Park.

So at about 10pm we went back to our guesthouse to rest a bit before going for supper at the roadside stalls!

They have this in Busan! Omg

Bought this super nice candy (like the dragon beard candy in Singapore w/ peanuts inside but it is cold) at only KRW$5,000!
It literally melts in your mouth!!
Taiquan went to buy the Turkish Ice Cream. Watch his ice cream experience here!

Korea's famous 32cm ice cream!

Super yummy takoyaki!!
Love the font of this menu.
We went to Ediya Cafe afterwards to chill abit. We haven't even found a place to eat actually.

Buzzer that is widely used in Korean Cafes
All watching Meihwa play game haha
Bingsoo & Flatcinnos!
Chocolate Chip Flatcinno
Okay so we decided to hunt for somewhere to eat again. We just randomly settled down at one stall that didn't have people (because it was the only stall that could fit 6 of us) to eat seafood. Adrial and Meihwa didn't eat so they went to the arcade.

The lady boss was very nice to us and the seafood was delicious! We ate grilled prawns, mussels, squid and also omelette! She seemed to like Taiquan and Sean alot so Taiquan danced for her and the atmosphere heated up! At the end we decided to take a photo with her and she almost wanted to kiss Taiquan! Flower Boy has his charms~~ xD

So we went back to our guesthouse at about 1am and showered and slept. It was a tiring but fun day!!
