Day 29: 25 September, Wednesday

Happy Mid Week!!

Its Wednesday and we have no school! Because it is LGC's sports festival!

Nice weather in the morning!
Then it started to get cloudy....
The participants!
Somehow someone said it was compulsory for us so we woke up early like at 8am to prepare for the 9am sports festival. But when we went there, not a single soul. Sian. We thought we kenna trolled by the whole school man. :(

So we went to get breakfast first at the student union block and went back after that. There were more people already, but we felt so weird because they were all wearing the same shirt representing their major whereas we were in home clothes. And there's still very little people at the stadium. In the end we found out that there was no such things as "spectators". So the participants were just having fun themselves.

We waited till almost 10.30am before the first event commenced: brisk-walking. It was pretty fun seeing them do the sports, but after some time it got bored because we didn't know much people. So we decided to go back to our dorm and.... nua. Haha.

We nua until 12.45pm then went to the stadium with Adrial again cos he was playing for the basketball match. We went to eat steamed egg again before that.

We were supposed to attend some forum thing at the Daejeon Convention Centre at 1pm but because we told our teacher that we were participating in the sports festival so he said we can go later. So Taiquan and Sean went first while the rest of us stayed to support Adrial!

Yvonne braided my hair!

So the basketball match ended at around 4pm and we won! Hehe. We decided to cab down to Daejeon Convention Centre.

It was a stone throw's distance away, about $5,000 by cab. We arrived in less than 20 minutes.

Listening to some sort of forum which didn't make sense.
Pity Sean and Taiquan who were there since like 1pm until 5pm (the event ends at 6pm) because the moment the six of us got in we were already dozing off. So check out our interesting whatsapp convo. Haha.

Finally lasted till 6pm (the event delayed and we were all playing our phones the whole time xD) so its time for dinner! Free dinner, to be specific, haha. We thought it would be some buffet style dinner and we were so hungry so we just couldn't wait to get our hands on the food.

Now, in the morning we wore jeans to the sports festival because we thought we would go to DCC immediately after the sports festival. But ended up our teacher said we can be at DCC in just casual wear so we changed to shorts. Which was a wrong choice. Because we were having our dinner in a ballroom. A 4-course western dinner, And the night was super chilly.

Mayor of Daejeon was there too...

I would say it was probably the best and most decent dinner we had so far in Korea. And the best vegetarian meal Adrial had. At least there's no more cup noodles, so we're thankful already.

Appetizer: Salmon Sashimi
Soup: Cream of Mushroom
Third Course: Seasonal Greens Salad
Main Course: Beef Steak (well-done)
Dessert: Orange Mousse Cake w/ seasonal fruits
Daejeon's representative wine: 2012 Charity
Kinda like their uniform.
Super love the food cos it was yummy! Although I'm a little picky especially when its banquet (occupational habit xD), about the food, the service sequence and the service haha. But its okay because I enjoyed myself.

So we met up with the other Hannam students who were also at the dinner too and they brought us around that area because their dorm was there. Took a photo with them too!

It was super cold tonight (I swear) and I think I will just kill myself if I didn't bring my jacket out today (I was in tank top today :P). But the night view of the area was nice. Gonna go back again in the day.

When we got back to the dorm (by cab) Yixin checked the weather and it turned out that it was 13 degrees just now! No wonder we were all freezing. Seems like the weather is turning chilly too... Goota get ready for winter man.

And I'm glad that the new Facebook can still allow me to upload photos via iPhone so I shall continue my blog!

Also, we're going to Busan this weekend so I guess it'll be just like my Seoul trip; I'll update my blog only after I'm back. Meanwhile I have one blog post and one mini report to complete by Friday. Ah, and reading up 40 pages of the textbook. So off I go!
