Day 110: 15 December, Sunday

Woke up at 11am today cos we're heading to hunt for Daejeon Sky Park! Yvonne saw it in the Hannam Times magazine and decided to go explore so Adrial, Sean, Taiquan, Meihwa, Yvonne and I set off at 12pm!

I went with Meihwa and Yvonne to KB Bank first and met the guys at Paris Baguette! And I saw this gigantic dog in the morning! Don't know much about breed of dogs but I'm guessing its Siberian Husky?

We took bus 711 to Daejeon Station and transferred to the subway. Boarded the subway to 대동역 (Dae-dong Station) and exited via Exit 8! The instructions on the web said to walk straight until you see a bakery. But we walked for about 400m (I think) yet we see no bakery and we came to this intersection. There were basically apartments everywhere. And the worse thing is that the shops were all closed because its a Sunday (yes they close on Sundays). So what we did was to trust our (and Adrial's) gut instinct. We walked on and walked up a flight of stairs before coming to a view of the foot of a mountain. It actually doesn't seem like its the right direction, but when we asked a passer-by where was the Sky Park he told us to walk straight! So we walked on.

And it turned out to be mountain-climbing part 2. No joke, just like Gyejok mountain. I was panting so badly and because of my blocked nose (cold weather + sick) I had to breathe through my mouth and it made my throat damn dry and I kept coughing. But we made it to the top anyway! Photos~~

And after that we went down the mountain and headed back to the subway station. Dropped by Lotte Mart because Adrial needed to get fruits for the meeting with his buddy's family at night. Bought 2 nail polish from Face Shop because they were having discount. And then we saw strawberries!! Korean strawberries look so tempting ^^

And then all of us went to hunt for Pepero. Not normal Pepero but cookies & cream! The very popular one hahaha. I think all the marts and convenience stores ran out of it because Hannam 8 bought everything! So when we saw it on the shelves we were so excited everyone just took some and within 20 seconds the shelf was empty! I wanted to take a before-and-after photo but they were too fast...

So after that we took the subway and headed for Eunhaeng-dong! When we arrived at 중앙로역 (Jungang-ro Station) just before we tapped out, we saw this Instant Christmas Photo Booth and decided to take photos!

Its actually just like a neoprint booth hehe. It costs KRW$3,000 for 4 photos but sadly... The machine didn't work. Maybe we're lucky, but the technician happen to be there so he refunded us KRW$4,000 and let us take photos again for free! But... Still the machine didn't work. We were super sad :(

So Adrial and Sean went back to the dorm first, Yvonne went to meet Cheryl while Meihwa, Taiquan and I went to shop! We went underground to get some stuff and then Taiquan went Uniqlo while Meihwa and I went Artbox! After which we went to get socks and then had noodles for dinner!! They ordered the spicy one while I ordered the original one and they almost died of spicyness haha.

And then I went back and packed my stuff. Meihwa was sleeping, Yvonne and Yixin went to watch movie. Cheryl came back at about 9pm and she was packing stuff. I was alone for a few hours packing my stuff to be sent back!

When Cheryl was packing her box of candies I was looking at her. I don't know what exactly caught my attention, but as she was packing she looked so happy. And then it struck me: it wasn't just a box of candies; it was a box full of love. A million thoughts ran through my mind, and I understood. Sometimes, love comes from deep within. And you don't see it. You feel it.

Unpleasant things happened tonight and I believe we all learnt from it. Hannam 8 is amazing just the way we are, and although things happen, we still love each other. Four months of spending everyday time together is no joke. We're not just friends; we're more than friends. We're family.

On the other hand, #4moredays till we leave Daejeon. Mixed feelings.
