Day 113: 18 December, Wednesday

Temperature: 2/7 degrees
Weather: Sunny

The temperature went up again and it feels kinda warm today! Another day of farewells... T_T

Woke up at 11am to prepare to meet the rest at 11.30am because we had a lunch date with Meihwa's buddy, Suyeon unnie!

Everyone (except Cheryl) met at the lounge and we took bus 711 towards Suyeon unnie's home area. The bus ride was about 30mins, and on the bus Meihwa's water bottle leaked and her whole bag was soaked, including her knitted gloves. Because her bag has the interior lining so the water stays in the bag. And what I did was open the bus window and pour the water out. Haha. Then, I put her gloves out of the window to dry it with the wind haha. #yolo

We arrived early and waited for Suyeon unnie a while. She brought us to this Korea traditional eating place for lunch that she had made reservations for. Its my first time in such a restaurant! The food they serve is like food for the king. Haha not really. Just that there's a lot of dishes so it seems like there's a lot of food but actually, no. They're just small amounts of side dishes haha. No main course. But it was good! KRW$11,000 per person. Ambience > food (I feel).

Photos!

So there came this dish where it looked like tom yum mussels. But there's some curly/wriggly thing at the side which we concluded should be intestines. But it looked too small to be pig intestines. We all tried it and it tasted okay... Until Suyeon unnie said it was fish intestines. Woah.

Fish intestines...

Then the last dish was this rice. A first time eating such food but it was okay...

Step 1: rice served in hot stone
Step 2: scoop out the rice into a bowl
Step 3: eat the rice & add hot water into the hot stone
Step 4: scrape the rice and eat it
I know it sounds weird haha. How does it taste you ask? Just imagine adding lots of water to your cooked rice and add a little bit of the burnt taste. That's about it.

After that Suyeon unnie and everyone went to visit this nearby dam while Adrial, Yixin and I took a bus back. I was supposed to meet Hyewon and Sungryeong unnie at Cafe Droptop at 3pm but they couldn't make it in the end so I went back to the dorm.

At 5.30pm I went along with Taiquan and Sean to meet Tom and Dongmin cos I had gift for Dongmin and I wanted to take pictures with them! Met them at Linton Park and took photos before they went off for dinner~~

I waited for my buddy at the library. Met her at about 6pm and we headed to meet her friend, Jihee, before going to have Mr Pizza for dinner!

After that I went to meet Sungryeong unnie for a while to pass her gifts and I chanced upon the others so I took photos with them!

with Sungryeong unnie ~ (whom I met on Jeonju trip)

I received a handmade sugar candy from Sungryeong unnie and I'm thankful for it! Its super nice!!!

So after that I went to play pool with Jiyoon and Jihee!!

Went back to the dorm at 9pm and the dorm teacher bought a big cake for our farewell~~ He made some speech while Seunghoon translated and we cut the cake! Then comes the evil plan: smashing cream on the teacher's face.

Cake is big. :O

But the problem was there was no cream on the cake! There was just this little blotch in the centre where its used to stick the chocolate to the cake and we decided to make use of it!

Adrial, Cheryl and I first got the cream on our hands and we went over to the teacher. Cheryl called him "oppa" and then Adrial asked, "have you bathed?" And we all smashed the cream on his face! And the war begins! Everyone got their faces smeared with cream and had lots of fun. Cheryl got to leave almost immediately and she responded "aishhh..." to the teacher's question and it made everyone laugh! According to the teacher, "aishhh" was somewhat a vulgarity in Korea and he said Cheryl's expression and tone was perfect! Haha!

Even the slice is big.
And Koreans use chopsticks to eat cake haha.
We took photos after that and ate the cake and had lots of fun! Another day of farewell gone and its #1moreday to leaving Daejeon! Taking a bus at 2pm tomorrow to head to my guesthouse in Hongdae so I'm not seeing my friends in Daejeon already~~

Polaroids~
with our Taiwanese and Japanese friends~

On the side note, I'm not sure whether there's computer at the guesthouse for me to use and update my blog. Hopefully there is! But if there's not computer there, I can update it via my phone but without pictures maybe. So just in case, here's the link to my photo album --> OSEP Korea - December!

Meanwhile, we're all having a sleepover at my room and everyone's busy packing luggages so till I update my blog again, stay happy everyone! ^^

(update!) So as I mentioned we had a sleepover, and I was actually on the phone due to some urgent/serious matter. Adrial was saying everyone should watch a movie together but because everyone was still packing their luggages I continued my phone call first. I didn't know everyone was waiting for me to start the movie so I asked them what they were watching and Adrial said "Secret". I told them I watched it before and asked them to go ahead but Taiquan said must watch together. So I ended my call asap and then everyone gathered in my room to watch "Secret". Adrial said its an extended version of "Secret" that was never revealed. And it turned out to be a video montage by the three guys, Adrial, Sean, Taiquan.

The video was a collage of all the photos we've taken till today and it includes some videos. But what made some of us cry was the sad songs as bgm and the "speech" the guys had for us. It was really touching and thanks again to the guys for the wonderful video! I wanna upload it to Youtube actually if possible but its like 1GB so we shall see how it goes~

After watching the video we had a round of confessions. First we said what was our most memorable time and then our happiest moment. Taiquan said his happiest moment was when he found out he's sleeping with Adrial and Sean; Sean said his happiest moment was when he was doing the video montage; and Cheryl said hers was when we had our first snow fight. As everyone is saying all these bits and pieces of memories they surface again and it only felt like yesterday!

Everyone got kinda emotional but it was still fun having a sleepover with Hannam 8. Its probaby another best memory to be kept forever~
