Day 117: 22 December, Sunday

Temperature: -5/-1 degrees
Weather: Fine

Woke up early morning because we were heading to Kyungbuk Palace!

Sean and Meihwa were not joining us and Taiquan came back in the wee hours so he wanted to sleep. So Adrial, Yixin and I headed to meet Cheryl and Yvonne at Kyungbuk Palace subway station!! (the palace is just in front of the subway station :P)

Like the Seoul design logo...
Line 3, Kyungbuk Palace station

We arrived and realised that we need to purchase tickets to enter and we decided there was no need to so we stayed outside and took photos outside instead!!

Jump Shot #1: Cheryl only tip-toed.
Jump Shot #2: Still she didn't want to jump. Haha :P
Jump Shot #3: So we took one ourselves.

And once we were down we had "under-run" of programme for the morning so we went to this Museum Palace of Korea (or something) as an impromptu decision!

National Palace Museum of Korea

"Floor Plan" of Kyungbuk Palace

We spent about an hour in the museum but honestly there wasn't much to see too. We walked out of the museum and just outside is Gwanghwa-mun!!

At Gwanghwa-mun was King Sejong and another guy who both made contributions to Korea and that's why their statues (or whatever you call it) were there!

How ancient people tell time

So after taking photos at Gwanghwa-mun we headed to the nearest subway station to board the subway! Our next destination is Bukchon Hanok Village! (북천한옥마을)

Happy Birthday to Kai from EXO on the subway!
Arrived at Anguk!
We alighted at Anguk Station (안국역) and walked to the village!

We took a rest on the way and ate ramyun at a convenience store to fill our hungry stomachs!

300m ahead!
M!Countdown Top 10

After eating we continued our journey and arrived at the village! There was supposed to be eight photo spots around in the village but because we only stayed for a while we only found one!!

One and only photo spot we found...

There was nothing much to see in the village too, almost everything looked the same! So we headed to this school in the village where Winter Sonata was filmed!! That place looked quite European and it was very nice!! Furthermore, there was snow all around so we had snow fights (video and video) too!

So European style!
We don't feel like we're in Korea anymore hahaha

Some candid shots from Adrial's phone while we were posing! (credits to Adrial)

And then Cheryl was trying to poke Yixin in the picture xD

And also shots at a mirror~

Not forgetting Yvonne's solo photo shoot!! xD

More photos (credits to Adrial)!

Lastly, candid Yvonne :)

When we were finally done we walked out the village to head to the subway station. I bought candy and Gongcha on the way out!!

Bought this sugar + soda powder candy for KRW$1,000!
Gongcha for third day in a row!
At Gongcha!
At Daehan Cinema (when we borrowed their toilet)
Our third destination for the day was Namsan Tower! We took the subway to Chungmuro (which was where we stayed for the first time in Seoul!) and took Bus 2 up to Namsan Tower!

Bus 2 from Chungmu-ro Station to N Seoul Tower!

Panorama

The bus ride took some time but we enjoyed the view on the way up! We walked around while waiting for Meihwa, Sean and Taiquan to join us but they were late! We bought some stuff there as well and Yvonne, Yixin and Adrial went up tot he observatory while Cheryl and I waited downstairs. I didn't go up because the weather wasn't that good!

Christmas Tree!!

"Just kiss, we'll donate"

Love lock bridge or something

Expensive rings, KRW$28,000 each
Went to the mini teddy bear museum and bought stuff too! Everything is too cute but too expensive...

Each cost more than KRW$100,000
These cost KRW$38,000
And these, KRW$28,000
While waiting for everyone to come I ate fries from this restaurant!!

Buzzer of the restaurant
KRW$3,000 fries that's quite yum
Once everyone gathered we paid KRW$6,000 for a single trip cable car ride down! The night view was definitely pretty but what made me excited was it was the filming location of Boys Over Flowers! Where Gu Jun Pyo and Geum Jan Di spent their first night together! Hehe :P

Lights are on!

Night view from N Seoul Tower

Here's the place!!! BOF fans do you remember?? ㅋㅋㅋ

Boarding

And we took this slanting lift down to Myeongdong too!!

Lift going down sideways!
Pretty Christmas decorations!
We settle dinner nearby and the girls ate 삼계탕 (ginseng chicken) that costs KRW$14,000 and that's when I realise almost everything in Seoul is expensive...

After dinner, Meihwa, Taiquan and Yvonne went to Juno hair to do their hair while the rest went back! And it was a boring night and I got hungry so I cooked noodles!! And McDelivery!!

Adrial spammed the group with photos!
Feeling hungry so I cooked noodles!
Thanks to Anna, my Japanese friend who gave me the noodles!
McDelivery for four large fries and I waited in the cold with my fbt #yolo
Sean bought Taco Bell for meeeee
It was a long, tired but fun day for me! After all, how bad could travelling be!!
