Day 114: 19 December, Thursday

Its 19 December and its time to leave Daejeon! The time we spent in Daejeon with our Korean and international friends is probably the most memorable part of our entire Korea trip and to be honest, we all can't bear to leave this place :(

Yixin, Meihwa and I left early to head to the post office to send some stuff back (again) because my luggage couldn't fit all my stuff. The rest bought Isaacs for us for lunch and we ate in the lounge. We went up and packed everything and then returned our blankets and keys and met downstairs at 12.30pm. We took photos before we left the place! So gonna miss the dorm!

After we were done we all headed to school to leave our lugagges there and take more photos! We took photos with Teacher Anne, one of our coordinators too! (the other teacher is Bob!)

Memories created here will stay forever.

Leaving Daejeon... 

Some photos during our 4-hour car journey~ It was snowing pretty heavily on the way actually :) See video too!

We set off at 2pm and stopped once to rest for 15mins. Finally arrived in Seoul at about 5pm but spent an hour looking for our guesthouse because its damn ulu haha. But the driver was damn nice! He helped us call the guesthouse and carry our luggages to the guesthouse. Even asked us to stay in the van because the weather is cold!

We settled down for a little while before heading to Cheryl and Yvonne's guesthouse. They had booked a separate guesthouse for the two of them which is more expensive than ours and also much further. Ours is at Hongdae and theirs is at Gaebong. You can go Google search the subway map of Seoul if you're curious how far apart are we. But it takes about 30mins by subway.

We went through so much just to reach Gaebong that all of us were so hungry and tired. Our last meal was Isaacs for lunch! First we couldn't find the correct line to take, then we took the wrong line. And the worse thing? Carrying two 23kg luggages around + no escalators in subway stations. Daebak. 

(update!) A small gratitude note for the guys who helped the girls to carry their luggages up and down the stairs in the subway stations. Thankful to have them especially like during mountain-climbing or situations like these. Really dk what to do without them man. ^^

So Cheryl and Yvonne had the guetshouse owner pick them up at the subway station so we waited for them at the subway station. I ate Dunkin Donuts while waiting for them. When they came back, we went to KFC to have dinner! But that KFC was f*cked up (pardon my language because there's no other better words to describe their service). The cashier had no lights on, and out of the nine set meals the cashier said only 2 is available. Taiquan and Yixin ordered Zinger Double Down, and when I ordered she said no more for me. Only up till Taiquan. I was like what? And when Cheryl asked her a question, she ignored and just continued doing her things. Cheryl, Yvonne and I left to buy mini stop chicken and ended up having Bon Juk porridge for dinner~

So we headed back after dinner and on the subway Sean was talking about his theory on idk what but no one was listening. Apparently the guys have their own nicknames. Adrial is "strength" which means he can cause a lot of impact. Taiquan is "agility" which means he can do a lot of stuff quickly. And Sean is the "intel" who basically talks a lot but does nothing. And we analyzed them to be three main characters of Running Man: Adrial is Kim Jong Kook, the undefeatable; Taiquan is Lee Gwang Soo, the one who always does something funny to entertain everyone and Sean is Yoo Jae Suk, all he does is talk but no action. Hahaha xD
