Day 97: 02 December, Monday

Temperature: -1/9 degrees
Weather: Sunny

Greetings! It isn't that cold this week (I saw the forecast) so I guess it would be fun! The best temperature is from 5-10 degrees. Because I kinda overdressed today (I thought it would be cold) so I felt quite warm during class. Today's weather actually allows me to wear fbt and slippers out but no, I didn't because everyone will judge. Haha. Just wore a camisole, leggings and slippers out. Not forgetting my fur coat.

GSM at 9am. Has been some time since I didn't feel sleepy in GSM class. Professor let us watch a documentary titled "Burma VJ (2008)" which talks about the revolution of Burma from being a closed to open country. The documentary is good, but the annoying thing is Professor kept pausing the video every 2 mins or so just to repeat what was said in the documentary. If not he just talks while the video is playing. After half an hour or so it kinda got on my nerves but I couldn't do anything about it. I know he's a good professor because other professor could have just let us watch the video peacefully while he rest aside but Professor Ken wants us to understand the essence of the documentary hence. But I thought it was quite redundant because the audio is in English, and there's even subtitles. There's no way we or the Korean students cannot understand. So I thought there's no need to repeat what was said in the video. And, watching a video that stops every two minutes isn't any much helping either. Lol.

OB at 9am. Professor let us watch a video (again) called "The Apprentice" (I think) about Donald Trump looking for an apprentice or something. We were basically supposed to identify nine theories displayed in the show itself. We had quite a hard time but Professor said there's over 80 theories in the video so we ended up just anyhow scribbled some notes.

NGO at 12pm. Professor Eric Durham never fails to entertain me. Past few lessons, he rapped, mixed English with his American-Korean and even did magic tricks in class. Today, he climbed onto a table just to make an announcement. He said that this way we will remember better. Haha. And while explaining to us what's a mime he did one to demonstrate. Hahaha. He also told us that he will forgo the 4th paper - conclusion and the 4th pop quiz because we're running out of time. He said, "Which means you don't have to write your 4th paper." followed by silence. "Merry Christmas." Hahahahaha xD

Met Yixin straight after NGO ended and we cabbed to the terminal cos we wanted to do shopping at E-Mart! We just had a random idea of pretending to be Koreans, so I told Yixin not to speak unless its Korean. Hahaha I was okay with it but I guess she had a hard time. Had that random idea because many a time the taxi uncles starts talking to us (or maybe just me) when he knows you're a foreigner and knows Korean. But the problem is that my Korean is limited T_T

Seems like autumn is not gone~ otw to Terminal :)
Anyway we had a fun time shopping for food at E-Mart. I bought lots of Pepero to send back to Singapore! Actually not a lot, because E-Mart is selling limited flavors too. If I'm not wrong, Singapore only has the almond (green box) and the chocolate (light red) ones right? And its not authentic. Made in Thailand I think.

Shopping!!
Here in Korea there's lots of flavors! There's the basic chocolate, strawberry, nude (which has chocolate coated on the inside instead of the usual outside), and also melon, almond, peanut and not forgetting white cookie (cookies & cream)! To be honest I tried all and it all tastes so good!! So I bought about six of each flavor. But up till now I still can't really find cookies & cream even after searching in more than 5 shops. Its so difficult to find the cookies & cream one :(

The food that I'm gonna send back! :P
Pepero!!
The so-difficult-to-find Cookies & Cream Pepero!
Anyway we finished buying our stuff at about 2pm. And then we tried to pack our stuff into the free boxes that E-Mart provides. Love this concept of recycling. E-Mart doesn't provide plastic bags too fyi. Only paper bags upon request and chargeable.

Self-packing station
So Yixin and I cabbed back to the dorm and packed our stuff. I went out again to head to the bank to withdraw money. I came back at about 3+ and decided to eat my Nissin cup noodles cos I was hungry. Yixin and Cheryl had class at 3pm so I had the room all by myself. But 10mins later Cheryl came back because she said she wasn't feeling well. So she went to sleep and then I went down to PC Room to do my stuff.

Yixin packing her stuff in a box...
At about 6.30pm Cheryl woke and asked who wanted steamed eggs for dinner. It was just me, Cheryl, Yixin and Taiquan because the rest had taken dinner already~

How Cheryl ate her steamed eggs like volcano like that ><
So amazing that we eat steamed eggs so many times and still love it so much. We met Yixin's buddy during dinner at the steamed eggs place too and its the first time I saw her since she changed her hairstyle! I told her, "모리 좀 예뻐." And she said that my Korean has improved again. Really? Haha I don't think so . But I finally figured out what do baristas ask whether you want your drink to be hot or cold. I always didn't catch it but today I understood while getting my favourite Milk Tea from Vero Expresso.

We dropped by the arcade cos its too addictive!! Had a round of basketball with Yixin! But not up to form today~~

Cheryl vs Yixin
Total #singaporeanstyle that caught my attention ><
Went back and spent the night on my NGO presentation + outline cos its due on Wednesday. May everyone have a great week ahead!
